Senior Malaysian artist and academician Anand Nagu did this wood burning piece of a traditional Malaysian fisherman.
He used a soldering iron to etch out his painting.
As an artist and art lecturer Anand loves experimenting with many media to create his artworks.
Anand heads the History and Visual Arts Appreciation Unit of the Visual Arts Education Department at IPG Kampus Sultan Abdul Halim in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
He also regularly conducts art awareness programmes for Indian students aimed at awakening the artistic spirit of the younger generation.
Anand who just completed his Phd in Fine Arts believes that the worsening social ills problem within the Malaysian Indian community can be solved by reviving the indigenous art and culture of the community.
