Scarcely a True Indian Restaurant in Semenyih, Selangor
We at theindianraas.com are introducing a review of good traditional Indian restaurants in Malaysia starting today. We will also be featuring vegetarian eateries including Chinese and Thai restaurants.
The traditional Indian restaurants which serve good vegetarian food and banana leaf meals are becoming rare these days.
They are slowly giving way to modern cafes and bistros which are profit oriented and don’t have the personal Indian touch and culture.
I was searching for a good Indian restaurant in Semenyih, Selangor to buy a traditional vegetarian breakfast for the family last Sunday.
Unable to find one to my satisfaction, I crossed over the Semenyih-Kajang border and within a kilometre’s drive I was pleasantly surprised to see a traditional Indian restaurant just across the road to the Mydin Emporium along the main road to Taman Anggerik Villa, off Jalan Semenyih.
Sure enough, I got the idli and thosai from the Indhira Curry House located at 21, Jalan Villa 3, Taman Anggerik Villa, Kajang.
The friendly restaurant owner, K. Senthinathan gave me his name card saying I could call the restaurant if I were bringing a group and place a order for the type of food we would like.
