World, Arise

World, arise

It’s true that love now
Lacks affection
In Love there’s no
Compassion

What was a kaleidoscope
Is Now a single mirror
All self-praise
Without reflection

We’re trapped within
An image of our hopes
A single crack shatters
formidable desires
Leaves one vulnerable
Picking up the pieces
of a world bygone

Arise, faceless beings
Give yourselves form
Fixing what’s been undone
(!)
