Mohiniyattam Workshop
Padma Nrithyalaya Arts (Seremban) in collaboration with Sutra Foundation are privileged to be able to organise a Mohiniyattam workshop conducted by the eminent danseuse and guru, Dr Neena Prasad.
Dr Neena Prasad Ji has agreed to give two workshops (for intermediate & advance level Indian classical dancers) at Sutra Foundation:
Date: 14 September (Sat), 2024
Session 1 (Introduction to Mohiniyattam technique)
4.00pm – 5.30pm
Session 2 (General abhinaya)
6.00pm – 7.30pm
Dr Neena Prasad is one of the most accomplished Indian classical dancers of her generation. She is proficient in several other classical disciplines such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Kathakali, but has for some time now focused her energy on Mohiniyattam and is presently one of the form’s ardent champions.
Dr Neena Prasad has studied with distinguished traditional gurus of Mohiniyattam and is one of the most recognised faces in Mohiniyattam.
Dr Neena Prasad also teaches Mohiniyattam and has received the Central Sangeet Natak Award for her outstanding contribution to Mohiniyattam.
We would like to urge dancers to take this rare and excellent opportunity to update and acquaint themselves with the latest development in Mohiniyattam from this most knowledgeable and famous dancer and guru of the field.
We are limiting dancers to 25 per session on first come basis. Don’t miss the opportunity!
