Bhajans – Soulful Singing of Kanna (video below)

Bhajan singing is recognised as the highest form of worship in this dark age of Kali. We feature here a Malaysian bhajan singer and poet, Murali Mohan das known affectionately as Kanna prabhu. He explains his lifelong passion for bhajan singing thus:

Each of my songs I render and poems are my treasure troves from the inner recesses of my mind and network of my soul. Its a body of work from the depth of my realisations that are precious collections of my expression across a life span (5 yrs- 59).
Through my songs I give new realities to the otherwise mundane expressions of the arts and of existence.
The subject matters and presentation of the songs and my poems are dramatically simple, inviting revisitations of long forgotten spiritual cultures of geniune caring and also reverence of the sacredness in  human life, in connection to the source of our existence ( God)  that perhaps will provide a joy of reference to one who would be able to resonate with me.
I truly hope to  lead the listener or reader to experience emotions, evocative insights and place the mind and soul in levels of awareness perhaps not visited before in the conundrums of the rat- race of life.

My songs and poems somewhat define my ‘real’ true self as a person and my selfless love for the upliftment of humanity and my very own self through the arts.
