Padma Nrithyalaya Arts presents Bharatanrityam Arangetram of Dr.
Sri Varsheni Uma Shangkar
Dr Sri Varsheni Uma Shangkar who will perform her Bharatanritya Arangetram at the Temple of Fine Arts today comes in the lineage of Padma Bhushan Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, a leading figure in Indian classical dance, Bharata Natyam.
Varsheni had also performed her Mohiniyattam Margapravesam under guru Dr Neena Prasad on 16th July 2023, in Trivandrum, India.
Varsheni learnt Bharatanatyam from her mother Vinosree Shankar who is Padma Subrahmanyam’s student. Vinosree is the founder and artistic director of Padma Nrithyalaya in Malaysia.
