Thaipusam which is a day to glorify Lord Muruga, the God of valour, beauty and knowledge is a public holiday in Malaysia.

Millions of Hindus, tourists and wellwishers gather at Murugan temples all over Malaysia to celebrate the festival.

Hindus fulfill their vows to Lord Muruga by carrying various types of kavadis.
