Vrkshasana (Tree Pose)

Asana 8
VRKSHASANA (Tree Posture)

This asana resembles a tree and although the pose may look easy it is a much demanding asana.

Standing and balancing on one leg is generally a physically and mentally challenging task.

So let’s start with TADASANA (Last week’s pose) Lift left leg – place left foot opposite right thigh.

Inhale – stretch both arms and raise them up, Align arms with the ears. Place both palms together and start feeling the warmth while holding the pose with normal breath (10 seconds).

Exhale – release posture and get back to TADASANA. Do the same with left leg.

Benefits
Overall it develops awareness and provides balance, strength and stability.
