Kolam and Karthigai Deepam

On Karthigai Deepam Festival oil lamps are added to the kolam decoration.
The festival is celebrated on Pournami (full moon) in the month of Karthika.
There are various versions to explain the origin of the festival. The festival generally glorifies Lord Muruga or Lord Siva.
