Virabhadrasana 1 (Warrior pose 1)

Let’s start by spreading the legs four feet apart. Left foot in front and the right foot behind.

Turn left foot outwards by 90 degrees and the right by 15 degrees. Slowly lift both arms up with palms facing upwards.

Inhale – position both arms up and stretch upwards and join your palms.

Exhale – bend your left knee. Knee and ankle should form a straight line and make sure your knee does not go ahead of your ankle. Free breathing while holding the pose.

Inhale – come up
Exhale – gently bring both your hands down. Repeat this pose from the other side.

Benefits
Strengthens and tones lower back, arms and legs. Increases stamina and balances the body.
