Passengers of an Eternal Cycle

A wedding needs a witness

We had more than we could wilfully imagine

Millions descended upon us

Falling from the moon

Aliens they were not, for,

Passengers of an eternal cycle they were

on earth, to sky they fly

From the planet’s periphery they

parachuted back

Landing on leaves, on spider silk

On my head and yours

The effect crystallised in pellets

of thoughts. Capsules of the vision

Trapped in our vista

Lasting forever more
