Halasana (Plow Pose)

Let’s start by taking a few breaths to relax before getting into the pose.

Lie down facing upwards with hands alongside the body with both palms facing down and legs together.

Inhale by engaging the abdominal muscles and lift both feet up from the floor. While still inhaling continue to raise both legs by supporting your back with your hands.

Lower both legs over your head – toes touching the floor.

At this point-bring both arms to the back and hold both the big toes.

Exhale – hold the pose for 5/10 counts. Release the toes upon completing the count – gently bring both legs down on exhalation.

BENEFITS
Calms nervous systems. Strengthens back muscles and revitalises the immune system.
