Ode to Mother Ganga
Title : NAMAMI GANGAI
Oh ! Mother, Rising majestically is Thy glory ,
Descending with grace on the vast terrestrial Himalayan snow caps,
With Thy crystal clear waves of infinite mercy !
Cascading tempestously and meandering through the mountains, hills and valleys,
As Thy tributaries play on the verdant plains of sustenance for Humanity !
Is there a power, Oh ! Mother, on the earthly vistas more greater than Thee ?
Condescending to move millions towards Divinity through the millennia by the penance of ages past of Bhagirathy !
Held high with the Crescent is the flow of Thy stupendous terrifying force on the matted hair of the Cosmic power of Mahadev,
Thy pristine waters from the causal ocean for salvation for the three worlds emanating at the pierce of the third step of Vamanadev.
Oh ! Mother Divine !
All embracing is Thy waters of immaculate compassion,
Despite, the hands of greed which taints Thy waters beyond comprehension !
Heaving is Thy bosom radiating love,
To redeem the heaps of sins of humanity without reserve.
Oh ! Mother Divine !
” Namami Gangai ” cry Thy devotees,
Rushing afore for a Holy dip in Thy waters of purity.
For aching limbs and pining hearts,
Moans and groans and mockery of untold shameful sins of the past !
For, It shall all vanish like dew in the face of the Sun,
As, devotees submerge in devotion in the cool loving embrace of Thy waters divine.
Nothing, Oh ! Mother, do I need,
To immerse in Thy embrosial waters of immortality is heavenly indeed !
Ever to be crystalized spiritually in your compassionate waves,
Thus, I shall attain the oceanic bliss of Sri Sri Radha Krishna’ s grace.
Hail, Hail, Hail to Thee, Oh ! Mother Bhagavathy,
Pray, bestow upon Kanna mercy in Thy waters as I chant aloud Thy name with faith and humility !
” Om Namami Gangai” ” Om Namami Gangai”
” Om Namami Gangai”

Lovely poem Kanna prabhu. Mother Ganga keeps the world in balance with her immeasurable mercy in cleansing the sins past and present of earthly denizens.
